Competitions
Win cash prizes and EXCLUSIVE rewards
Rules
1. Entry Requirements
You MUST own the COMPETITION license or HIGHER to compete in competitions unless stated otherwise; if you compete without a license, you receive nothing.
2. The Higher Participation - The Higher Prizes
The more people that compete ; the HIGHER the cash prizes and exclusive rewards - so spreading the word as far and wide as possible is in your best interest
3. Deadlines
Each competition's deadline begins once we hit 50 PARTICIPANTS, So the sooner you get in the more time you have to craft the best possible song or whatever the competition may entail
4. Hashtag Requirement
YOU ARE REQUIRED TO USE THE HASHTAGS: #Demino AND/OR #DeminoBeats. This is the only way i know you are competing, it will also help spread the word for a more competitive environment and higher cash prize . If you use both, you have more chance of being seen - thereby more chance of victory. If you are using a platform that doesn't have hashtag ability like spotify or itunes for your entry, you must say 'Hashtag Demino!' or 'Hashtag DeminoBeats' at the start to validify your entry.
5. License Upgrade
Once the competition is over, if you ONLY bought the competition license, you will need to upgrade to continue using the beat; this DOES include the song you make to compete with - but don't worry I will take off the price of the competition license from whichever license you plan to buy.
6. Originality
These competitions are about skill and helping small artists break through the mainstream by showing their talent in various aspects. If you are caught using unoriginal material (Stealing lyrics and flow directly from others) you will be disqualified. However this does not disallow samples of anything you desire, just make sure you're legally allowed to use it and stick to the guidelines of the specific competition you are participating in.
7. Judging
Depending on what is stated for the specific competition, it will either be entirely judged by the community, entirely judged by me, or prizes for the highest rankings of both.
8. Prizes
EXCLUSIVE prizes, like a FREE exclusive beat or custom beat from my site, are completely predetermined and guaranteed. However, bigger variables—like cash prizes, new gear (headphones, mics, studio items)—depend on the competition's success and how many participants we get. Think about it: if only 10 artists are competing for a cash prize of $500, it becomes more like a lottery than a true test of skill and artistry. The more widespread the competition, the bigger the prizes, and the better chance you have to crack through the mainstream even if you don't get 1st place.
9. Read the Rules of Each Contest
These are the general guidelines for all competitions unless stated otherwise. If a specific competition does not mention exceptions (like the hashtag requirement), it means these rules apply by default. However, it's crucial to read the specific rules for each contest, as they may include unique tweaks or more flexibility compared to the general guidelines provided here. And also you need to know what the competition is don't you?
10. Respect Expectations
Unless stated otherwise, all competitions are open to everyone. There will be ZERO tolerance for bullying or degrading anyone for their entry, no matter the quality. Every participant is trying to win, just like you. If I catch anyone engaging in negative behavior, they will be immediately DISQUALIFIED. Constructive criticism is welcome, but outright demotivation or disrespect is not.
11. Attempts
Unless specified otherwise, each participant is allowed 2 entries per competition. This means you can submit two different versions of your song using the competition beat—whether it's different lyrics, styles, or any creative approach. However, if you submit more than two entries, only the first two will be considered, regardless of how much traction your other submissions receive.
